DIRECTOR of rugby Dan Protherough says it is important Bromsgrove make Finstall Park a fortress if they want to secure promotion from Midlands One West this season.
The Boars currently sit at the top of the table after five games with a 100 per cent winning record, with three of their victories coming at home against Worcester, Burton and Dudley Kingswinford.
And with Lutterworth coming to town on Saturday, Protherough wants to see his side keep up their winning mentality.
“Making Finstall Park a fortress was something we discussed before the season started, ” he said.
“Our last two games at home against Burton and Dudley were very tough but we managed to come away with wins.
“We want to keep that winning momentum going so that teams which visit know they are going to be in for a tough game.”
After a week off from action, Protherough is looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
But the hard-to-please boss admits Bromsgrove have plenty of things to improve on.
“More than anything we need to start playing at a high intensity,” he said.
“If we can do that, especially from our forwards, it will give us momentum and impetus.
“I have got no problem with us making mistakes, but it is how we react to that.”
Tom Hardwick and Ollie Bache are to return to the squad for the Lutterworth clash but James Gunther (ankle) and James Martin (neck) remain sidelined.
