Travellers moved on from Bromsgrove Buntsford Hill which has permanent injunction

Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd Mar, 2018   0

THERE have been illegal traveller encampments in Bromsgrove and Droitwich this week.

A number of vans and caravans arrived at land off Buntsford Hill over the weekend.

The plot, owned by town businessmen Doug and Malcolm Clark, has an injunction in place for it which means anyone who disobeyed the order could face fines or prison.

On Wednesday bailiffs from Birmingham Processor, accompanied by officers from Bromsgrove Police, moved the travellers on.

Malcolm Clark told The Standard: “We took out the permanent injunction to avoid situations like this and to show how illegal encampments will not be tolerated on our land.”

He said they should have been moved on sooner and was waiting to hear from the police about why that was not the case.
