THE SCIENCE department at South Bromsgrove High School are celebrating after it was recognised with a Gold Science Mark award in recognition of outstanding practice in the subject.

The Science Mark, awarded by the Science Learning Network, is a stamp of quality that sets out to celebrate excellence in secondary science across the UK.

In its application, staff at South went through a rigorous application process to show they were reflective, evaluative and focused on improving outcomes for young people in their school.
