BROMSGROVE’S historic St John’s Church will also be among the venues throwing open its doors as part of Heritage Weekend.

There will be plenty of activities going on from 2pm to 5pm next Saturday (September 10), including cream teas, crafts, memories of St John’s writing workshops, a mini flower fest and a jewellery stall.

Visitors will also be able to see how stained glass is made, find out about the history of the stained glass at St John’s Church and people are urged to take along their photographs and memories of what is a special place for many in the town.

And of course there will be the return of the trips up the tower which, for £2, offer stunning aerial views of Bromsgrove Town Centre, further afield in the district and even beyond that.

Then at 5pm, those with a special memory to celebrate can join members for a short service led by Revd Ray Khan.

Churchwarden Shan Moule said: “There is so much going on – we really can’t wait to welcome you to our heritage day.”
