WHILE the government are battling to ban disposable vapes and the number of youngsters using them continues to rise, shopkeepers are finding more deceitful ways to avoid following the rules surrounding their sale.
This was the case for one shopkeeper in Bromsgrove, who had a large quantity of illegal vapes seized by trading standards after they were found hidden in a secret compartment underneath the shop counter.
Worcestershire Trading Standards were carrying out raids in Bromsgrove on February 20 when the oversized vapes were found in a hidden compartment, with an easily removable magnetic door.
In the UK, the legal maximum tank size for vapes is 2ml or around 600 puffs. Those seized are often upwards of 3000 puffs and sometimes even 9000.
