RESIDENTS can look to the stars on Friday and Saturday (March 31 and April 1) at a special event at Bromsgrove Library.
The event, organised by Bromsgrove Astronomical Society, takes place between 1pm and 4.30pm on the Friday and between 10am and 3pm on the Saturday.
The free sessions are being held in conjunction with the BBC’s Stargazing Live and members of the society will be on hand to talk to residents about the best ways of stargazing, constellations and all things above the earth.
On Monday (April 3), members of the Astronomical Society will be holding an observation evening at the club’s base – Bromsgrove Rugby Club – where, if it is clear, there will be telescopes for visitors to use.
There will also be some practical advice and telescope workshops for stargazers who want to get the best out of existing equipment.
The society’s spokesperson Chris Butler told The Standard: “From astro-imaging to learning how to navigate the night sky we have members on hand to offer advice.”
