A PUB crawl to remember a popular Bromsgrove man raised £1,003.96 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A group of 34 of Kev Martin’s friends and family members met at The Riflemans Arms in Droitwich before embarking on the nine-pub tour of the town.
Among the venues they visited were The Queens Head, The Grapevine, The Greyhound, The Slug and Lettuce, the Court Leet, the Golden Cross, the Black Cross, the Little Ale House and The Red Lion.
The event was organised by his daughters Claire and Emma.
Kev was 54 when he died on January 4 of this year and the Macmillan Nurses helped him a lot.
Claire said: “It was a fantastic day for everyone – the public were great and very giving for such a worthy cause.
“My dad would have been proud of his daughters, friends and family.”
Claire and Emma said they wanted to thank all the pubs involved, especially Julie Carter – the landlady at the Queens Head for all her support and for making it a special day in memory of their dad.
And, said Claire, as it was such a success, they would be planning another one in the future.
