YOUNGSTERS from Meadows First School held a ‘red, white and blue day’ to celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
On Friday (June 10), each year group took part in street parties in the playground and crowns and Union Flags for the occasion.
There was a ‘coronation crown’ parade took place to showcase crowns children had created. And the pupils were also arranged in a giant ‘90’ for a special photograph.
Meadows First School teacher Sara Date said: “We spent a fantastic week celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday.
“It was wonderful to see the whole school work together to make a huge number 90 in honour of her special day.”
