A MAN has been injured following an attempted robbery by a masked man at a convenience store in Bromsgrove last night (Thursday).
Between 10pm and 10.15pm, a man entered One Stop on Worcester Road demanding money and cigarettes from a staff member.
The offender is reported to have pushed one staff member to the floor and punched another before running from the store empty-handed, turning left in the direction of Bromsgrove town centre.
A man in his 30’s suffered minor cuts and bruises during the incident.
Detective Sergeant Nadia Prescott, of West Mercia Police, said: “We have launched a thorough investigation into this incident and are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed it to contact us.
“The suspect has been described as a white man of skinny build and around 5’8” to 6′ tall.
“He is thought to have been wearing a balaclava or woollen hat pulled down over his face, with a high visibility vest, black top and light grey jogging bottoms and has been described as smelling of alcohol.”
