Car marque enthusiasts urged to take their vehicles to MG Car Club's Taster Trial in Bromsgrove this Sunday

CAR ENTHUSIASTS are being invited to take their vehicles along to a new event being held in Bromsgrove on Sunday (April 30).

The MG Car Club Taster Trial will be held between 10am and 4pm at East Lodge Farm.

The event for marque enthusiasts has been organised by The MG Car Club which run sprints, trials, road runs and social events throughout the year. For 2017 the Midland Centre is replacing its Spring

Trial with a ‘Taster Trial’ event which will be a friendly introduction to those drivers young and old.

The objective is to run an enjoyable and supportive introduction to gentle off-road driving, for anyone with a production 2WD car, not just MGs – we see Saxos, Ford Kas, Rover 25s, X90s, MG Midgets and Fs trialling, while the historic Imp and Beetle remain very capable!

The day’s entry fee is only £20, and just £15 for under 21s.

With kind permission of the owners, the venue will be on the non-damaging grassy hillsides of East Lodge Farm, Fox Lane, on the edge of Bromsgrove. Running entirely on private land allows accompanied drivers from age 14 to develop their car control confidence.

The day’s format will begin with a briefing and driving tips, plus a vehicle safety check, and later on explain about different types of car trials.

However, the main part will be the chance for people to drive their own car with skilled coaches, or ride/drive in trials prepared cars and enjoy the thrill of mastering car control.

Catering will be available on the day.

The club invites interested drivers to take a look at their Midland Centre website where introductions and basic entry form can be found: www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgccmidlandcentre/

Finally, because it is a fully recognised UK Motor Sports Association Taster Trial, entrants do not need to be motor club members, and the club does cover your public liability insurance.
