Bromsgrove rail commuters reminded of 12-day line closure comes into force on Wednesday

Bromsgrove Editorial 23rd Oct, 2016   0

RAIL USERS are reminded there will be no trains going through Bromsgrove for 12 days from this Wednesday (October 26).
The complete closure is being undertaken while important work is carried out as part of the £100million investment in the region’s railways.
Replacement buses will operate between Bromsgrove and Longbridge during that time to enable the line to Birmingham to be electrified and eventually leading to four trains an hour to and from the Second City – from December 2017.
Richard Dugdale, senior sponsor for Network Rail said: “There is never a good time to close the railway for any length of time but we have looked at all options and worked with London Midland and CrossCountry to complete this work at a time which will cause least disruption to passengers.”
Passengers are advised to check before they travel at www.nationalrail.co.uk for the latest information.
