THIS YEAR’S Christmas Carol concert for the communities of Bromsgrove’s Oakalls and Parklands estates takes place at 6.30pm this Sunday, December 17.

The event will take place on the open grassed area by the noticeboard at the junction of Royal Worcester Crescent and Trianon Road on The Oakalls.

The Blackwell Concert Band will be providing the music and there will be mince pies and mulled cider, along with candy floss, glow sticks and sweets for the children.

There will also be an appearance by Father Christmas at 7pm.

To ensure residents’ safety, there will be a road closure from 5.30pm to 8pm in Royal Worcester Crescent and Davenham Road. A diversion route will be clearly displayed.

Coun Caroline Spencer said she was very grateful for the donation from Coun Kit Taylor who has used his divisional fund to help pay for the concert.

Coun Spencer said: “This is a hugely popular event, especially for the children with the visit of Father Christmas.

“It is also a great opportunity for residents to meet new friends and neighbours.”
