MIDFIELDER Ahmed Ali has rejoined Bromsgrove Sporting – only two months after he left the club.

Manager Paul Smith revealed the news on Twitter on Wednesday and the 24-year-old Somalia international goes straight into Saturday’s squad to face Sun Sports FC in the FA Vase fourth round.

Ali impressed in Sporting colours at the start of the campaign scoring seven goals in 17 appearances before leaving to join Redditch United.

But Smith told the Standard Ali was not enjoying his football with the Evo Stick Southern Premier Division side.

A delighted Smith said: “Bringing Ali back is a huge signing for us.

“He was head and shoulders our best performer at the start of the season then he got a move to Redditch United. But he has not been enjoying his football and is delighted to come back to Bromsgrove.

“He’s available for Saturday and will bring us quality in defensive midfield. He’s coming back to us to help us win the league and push us on in the Vase.”
