Bromsgrove Editorial 2nd Dec, 2016   0

BROMSGOVE Sporting will compete in the FA Vase third round proper for the first time in their history on Saturday.

And they have done it in style scoring plenty of goals in the process – notching up a total of 22 goals in just four games.

Here’s a recap of how they have done it.

1st Qualifying Round

Bromsgrove Sporting 13-0 Ellistown and Ibstock United

A record-breaking afternoon at the Victoria Ground saw Bromsgrove Sporting claim the biggest win in their history as they eased to a 13-0 victory over Ellstown & Ibstock United in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase.

The win comfortbaly smashed the Rouslers’ previous record win of 10-0 over Southam United in a Midland Combination Division One clash in 2014.

2nd Qualifying Round

Tipton Town 0-1 Bromsgrove Sporting

The Rouslers continued their record of never failing to reach the first round proper of the FA Vase with a scrappy 1-0 victory over West Midlands (Regional) League outfit Tipton Town on Saturday thanks to Chris Lloyd’s 59th-minute strike.

Round One Proper

Bromsgrove Sporting 5-3 Cadbury Athletic

A goal-filled afternoon at the Victoria Ground saw Bromsgrove Sporting book their place in the second round of the FA Vase with a 5-3 after extra-time victory over Cadbury Athletic.

Sporting came back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to seal their place

Round Two Proper

Bromsgrove Sporting 3-1 Lichfield City

A strong crowd of almost 750 saw Bromsgrove reach the third round with a 3-1 win over league rivals Lichfield City. A brace from Jason Cowley and header from Reece Hewitt made it a great afternoon for Paul Smith’s men.
