RESIDENTS heading down to Bromsgrove’s Specsavers this week have been handed free books as part of a global celebration of reading.

The giveaway began on World Book Day and runs until March 9, while stocks last.

Store director Mark Gibson said reading was something the staff felt passionate about, adding he hoped the book giveaway would encourage people to have a good read, whilst ensuring their vision was up to scratch.

“Anyone booking an appointment for an eye examination during the week will have the opportunity to take home one of our selected books, hopefully there’s something to suit everyone, with children’s books included too.”

For more information or to book an eye test, go into Specsavers in, Bromsgrove High Street, visit www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/bromsgrove or call 01527 579815.
