POLICE have issued a warning to householders after a property in Sidemoor was broken into at 10.30pm on Thursday night (July 7).

The resident heard someone in their home on Crabtree Lane and saw a torch light being shone around.

After being disturbed, the intruder fled through the front door and ran off down the road and it was later reported by a witness that two men were seen running away from the address.

One was wearing a green tracksuit jacket with a grey stripe on the shoulder and a baseball cap.

The resident also noticed the wooden frame of the front door had been damaged to gain entry.

Because of the disturbance, nothing was taken during the incident but officers investigating the incident still want any witnesses or anyone with any information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
