A SHOP in Wythall was robbed by two men wielding crowbars last Friday (June 17).

The thugs threatened staff at the Spar in Drakes Cross Parade at 10.45pm and left with several plastic bank bags full of coins from the tills and safe.

One of the attackers was a white male while the other was of mixed race; both appeared to be in their mid-twenties and fled the scene with the cash in a light coloured vehicle.

Fortunately none of the staff were injured in the raid but two men and two woman were left suffering from shock after the incident.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them on the non emergency 101 number or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 08000 555111.
