PCC calls for Town and Parish councils to help shape policing

Bromsgrove Editorial 18th Jun, 2022   0

THE Police and Crime Commissioner has launched his annual survey, where residents have the opportunity to shape policing priorities.

The Commissioner’s Town and Parish Council Survey, which is in it’s fifth year, engages local views around police visibility, accessibility, and crime and disorder.

The feedback and opinions provided last year helped to show where improvement needed to be made and where then acted on.

Commissioner John Campion said: “As Commissioner it is my responsibility to ensure everyone in West Mercia has a voice and is heard at the highest level. This survey is just one of the many tools I have used and will continue to use to ensure concerns can be heard and acted on.

“Increasing officers on the frontline is an example of how the force and I, have listened to communities thought surveys like this and are taking action to improve the service the public receive.

“I would encourage all Town and Parish Councils to take advantage of this opportunity to be represented and take the time to complete the survey, and have your say.”
