A FUNDAY out for all the family with a fairytale theme takes place at Avoncroft Museum this spring bank holiday.

Those who go along to the event on Monday (May 25) can spot their favourite children’s story characters, including the Pied Piper, playing his enchanting music, Jack who has swapped his cow for some magic beans, and the Big Bad Wolf.

There are also trails and activities, fairground rides, miniature train rides and a wandering wizard who will be weaving his magic around the museum.

As well as that, the windmill will be working if there’s enough wind and marauding vikings will be training to take on a terrible dragon.

Robin Hood and his merry men will enable visitors to have a go at archery and there will be a host of other furry, scaly and slimy creatures to inspire little storytellers.

The fairytale theme will continue throughout the week with craft activities and storytelling from Tuesday (May 26) to Thursday (May 28).
