New bowls sessions for those with disabilities to start in Bromsgrove this weekend

A NEW scheme enabling residents with a disability to participate in bowls has been launched.

The BowlStart Day sessions, organised by Cerebral Palsy Sport England and Wales, supported by Bromsgrove District Council and run in conjunction with Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire and the Bowls Development Alliance. were launched last Friday (September 18).

They will start in earnest next Saturday (October 3) at the Bromsgrove Indoor Bowls Club, Austin Road, and then run every Saturday there from 10am to midday.

Coun Rod Laight, whose portfolio covers Leisure, said: “As a council we are committed to providing opportunities for all of our residents to try something new.”
