AN OPEN weekend at the Lickey Hills will take place from 11am to 4pm next Saturday and Sunday (September 17 and 18) at the country park’s Visitor Centre, Warren Lane.
The event has been organised by the Lickey Hills Local History Society and this year’s event will feature on some interesting local characters – some people will have heard of and some they will not.
The exploration of the First World War and its impact on the area will continue and there will be updates on the project to research and record information about the Bilberry Hill Gun Proof Range which is nearing its 100th birthday.
