IN PICTURES - Coca-Cola Christmas lorry brings the crowds in Rubery

HUNDREDS flocked to Rubery’s Morrisons on Wednesday (December 13) to catch a glimpse of the famous Coca-Cola lorry as it completes tour of the UK.

Families and residents gathered in the supermarket car park to enjoy Coca-Cola’s ‘winter wonderland’ with a free Coco-Cola Zero Sugar before it continued its journey further down south.

The fizzy drink company’s Christmas Truck Tour will see it’s much adorned vehicle visit 17 locations in total across the UK.

The tour started in Glasgow on Friday, November 24 before making it’s way to England via other major Scottish cities.

Florence Wheatley, brand manager at Coca-Cola Company, Great Britain, said: “Coca-Cola has been spreading Christmas cheer for decades and, this year, we’ve added even more exciting elements to make it as magical and merry as possible.




“We’re also thrilled to extend our partnership with Neighbourly, emphasising spreading kindness and making a positive impact across the UK.

“Together, we want to inspire year-round acts of goodwill and truly make a difference in all local communities.”

Milton Keynes, Watford, Birmingham city centre, Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, Gateshead, Wolverhampton, Basildon, and Leicester have all been visited by the truck.

Its next stop after Rubery was Wembley Park in London on Thursday, December 14.

Coca-Cola has partnered with Neighbourly, a giving platform that provides crucial support to local communities across the UK.

This year, Coca-Cola and Neighbourly will be supporting the local communities within the visited cities through a volunteering scheme and donation drive.

“The Christmas Truck Tour is a fantastic way to increase awareness of Neighbourly’s mission to help businesses build stronger communities.
