A GROUP of homeless young people from Bromsgrove have raised £400 with a charity skydive.

The High Five team Vanessa, Nathan, Jake, Beccy and Riadh put their own problems aside to take on the 13,000ft drop in aid of the St Basils charity, which helps homeless young people across Worcestershire.

The cheque was presented to Leigh Hesketh, the manager of St Basils’ Bromsgrove supported accommodation scheme, at the Worcestershire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (WCVYS) Annual General Meeting.

WCVYA manager’s Phil Street said: “These young people should be congratulated for raising money for others when they have enough problems of their own to deal with.”
