Greyhound pub raises money for the Brain Tumour Charity

MORE THAN £100 was raised for the Brain Tumour Charity after a Christmas Fayre at Bromsgrove’s Greyhound pub.

The event was organised by local artists Justine Humphries and Karen Hotchkiss to raise awareness of the condition.

The fayre featured stalls swlling a variety of items, including handmade toys, original artwork, Yule logs, jewellery and crafts done by local artists.

Justine, whose nephew George was diagnosed with a brain tumour 12 years ago at the age of two, said: “It was the first event we have held so it is good to get our fund-raising off the mark.

“We are hoping to do some more events for the cause throughout next year, including more sales and a bike-ride from Lands End to John O’ Groats.”

For more on the campaign, call Justine on 07725 488513, or Karen on 07789 912627.
