THE EASTER bunny turned up at the PlayDays playgroup at St Stephen’s Church in Rednal.

The character was accompanied by staff from Sainsbury’s Longbridge who organised the egg-citing visit to the supermarket’s charity of the year.

They surprised the children with a host of activities, including an Easter egg hunt, an egg and spoon race and the colouring of Easter pictures.

Trudy Mansell, the store’s PR ambassador, said: “We also gave out Easter eggs to all the children and Red Nose Sippy cups.”

Staff also donated 120 red noses for the children to complete their red nose collections, ahead of this year’s Comic Relief.
