YOUNG Bromsgrove fund-raiser Emily Faulkner has been continuing her campaign to put a defibrillator in every school in Bromsgrove district.
The ten-year-old was interviewed by fellow Bromsgrove resident and BBC Hereford and Worcester Radio presenter Malcolm Boyden on Friday who asked her about her aims and the fund-raising so far.
And then last Friday Emily was at the MMA Fight Night at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich after receiving an invite from Sharon and Andy Hopwood from Aston Fields-based Fighting Fit. There she was given the chance to sell her ‘Every Heart Matters’ merchandise and received £100 from the pair raised from a giant teddy auction.
Emily said she wanted to thank Sharon and Andy for their support and is hoping to work with them again in the future.
Also over the weekend, Emily attended the Bromsgrove RFC junior registration day with Rob and Maggie from The Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation where she helped with CPR and defib training and assisted in raising awareness of her campaign and the greater cause.
Emily needs £10,000 to put a defib in every school in Bromsgrove which still needs one. She has now collected £3,740 and is just £100 from her fourth defib.
