A BROMSGROVE woman who fought breast cancer and has seen it return will undergo a double mastectomy next week in a bid to beat the disease.
And ahead of her life-changing surgery, Jacquie Barker-Dean has organised a fund-raiser in aid of Breast Cancer Care for this Sunday (October 25).
During the event, which starts at 2pm at the Hop Pole, there will be music, food, face-painting, a barbecue, games and a raffle.
A number of local businesses have already come forward to donate prizes for the raffle and it is hoped others will follow suit.
Among them are a £250 watch, given by Cupitt the Jewellers, a £50 dental voucher, a tie set from Bromsgrove Menswear, a £20 voucher for Touch of Beauty and more.
