A PIZZA delivery man was robbed of the food he was carrying after a fake order was phoned through to his take-away company.

It happened at 10.30pm on Wednesday (July 2) when the call was made, requesting for a pizza and other items to be delivered to Appletrees Crescent.

When the man got to the address he was approached by four men who grabbed the holdall containing the order from him and fled into the woods at the end of the crescent.

When checks were made with the address that the pizza was ordered for, those living there knew nothing about it and confirmed they had not ordered any food.

All of the men were white. Two were aged between 18 and 25, about 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.

They were all clean shaven and wearing hooded tops and jeans.

The other two are thought to be in their mid-20s, around five foot nine inches tall and of slim build. They were also clean shaven and wearing dark coloured hooded tops and jeans.

Anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
