ABOUT 30 members of Bromsgrove Court Leet also turned out on Monday (February 16) to welcome the Mercian Regiment to the town.

Court Leet bailiff Hamish Wilson and reeve John Wheatley were joined by marshall John Rogers, headborough Geoff Evans, along with jurymen, thyingmen and the ealdorman of the court.

Bailiff Hamish Wilson said “This was a really important day for Bromsgrove, and the Court Leet wanted to show their support for our local soldiers from the Mercian Regiment and for the people of Bromsgrove.

“I was heartened to see how many people lined the streets waving flags and applauding the regiment, and the court was thrilled to be able to add a little extra colour to the celebrations.”
