FOSTERTALK hosted a celebratory tea party at Avoncroft Museum to mark its first anniversary.
The special day was held to mark the Bromsgrove-based organisation’s success following a Government grant from the Department of Education to deliver Fosterline.
The call line offers free, confidential, impartial advice and guidance for foster carers across the country – last year it gave advice to more than 12,600 people.
During the event, guests enjoyed a special presentation before they were invited to have afternoon tea, cakes and sandwiches.
The upcoming launch of the Fosterline Foundation was also revealed – a cause which aims to raise money to keep the crucial service going and to enhance and develop it further.
Managing director Melody Douglas said: “I am immensely proud of the staff team at FosterTalk who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the Fosterline service across England which has enabled more people to contact the service and obtain the support, information and advice that they have needed.”
