A BACON butty and cake sale has raised more than £370 for a charity that gives Bromsgrove people a way of escaping from abusive relationships.

The event was held by members of Bromsgrove Methodist Centre and organised by local resident Pete Gale in aid of the SupportWorks Foundation which offers education and peer group support to help victims.

And now they are organising a concert by top local choir Bel Canto to raise even more money for the charity.

“The concert is free but there will be donations for the SupportWorks Foundation accepted on the door,” said organiser Christine McBride.

The concert is at the Bromsgrove Methodist Centre at 19 Stratford Road, Bromsgrove, B60 1AS and all are welcome.
