A BROMSGROVE cheerleader and her Coventry Dynamite (CD) team finished 10th in the world during a prestigious competition held in Florida.
Phoebe Howard and the CD Bombshells group were the highest placing UK team at the All Star Worlds Competition.
The team flew out in the middle of the month and trained in Orlando before performing their routine at a show off at Disney Sports Resort.
They then took part in the competition at The Orange County Convention Centre on International Drive, competing against 80 other teams from all over the world.
Phoebe’s mum Sarah said: “It was a very emotional day for all but we couldn’t have asked for anything more from them all.
“Some Americans who were sat by us couldn’t believe they were a team from the UK as they couldn’t believe their sassyness, they were absolutely loving it.”
There was further joy for Phoebe when she won an award for most improved base/backspot at the team awards evening in Planet Hollywood.
They will be flying out mid-April and training over in Orlando and doing a show off at Disney Sports Resort before taking to the MAT on April 20 at the semi-final stage of the competition at The Orange County Convention Centre on International Drive.

At her gymnastics club in Selly Oak, she saw there was also a small cheer team and joined it, absolutely loving the sport.
Then, after viewing the renowned Coventry Dynamite perform at a competition in Birmingham, she strove to join the CD ranks and made it in following a try-out.
