Cash and cigarettes stolen as Romsley shop is robbed at knifepoint

ARMED raiders forced their way into the Co-op in Romsley, near Bromsgrove and threatened staff before escaping with cash and cigarettes.

Three men entered the store in St Kenelm’s Road, at 7.20am this morning armed with knives and a hammer and threatened staff before stealing a quantity of cash and cigarettes from the store.

The robbers then have then made their escape in a white Ford Fiesta which was last seen driving in the direction of Halesowen.

Det Sgt Ian Tomlinson from North Worcestershire CID said: “This robbery took place at a time when people may have been visiting the store or driving past on their way to work or on the school run.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen something or has dashcam footage they can share with us.”
