THE leader of Charford Residents Association has praised charity NewStarts for its ‘incredible contribution’ during the Covid-19 crisis.
Coun Michael Thompson has also been overwhelmed by the kindness of volunteers in Charford who have delivered shopping and prescriptions to vulnerable residents.
NewStarts, which helps people starting out in their own homes with free or low price furniture, has been distributing parcels from its foodbank.
Coun Thompson said: “NewStarts has been incredible and we owe them our thanks.
“Whenever I have submitted a food parcel request it has been promptly delivered.
“And the people of Charford have been amazing. The support they have shown for their neighbours has not surprised me and is indicative of the community we have here.”
