Trial date announced for Bromsgrove murder suspect in Wayne Coventry case

A WOMAN has been remanded in custody to await trial for the murder of a man in Bromsgrove.

Cordelia Farrell, 37, from Birmingham, appeared at Worcester Crown Court today (October 22) to face charges in relation to the death of 36-year-old Wayne Coventry.

She will return to the court on Monday, December 23 to enter her plea.

A court spokesperson said her trial is scheduled to take place on April 14, 2020 and is likely to last several days.




There was no application for bail.

Wayne Coventry was found dead at a property in Humphrey Avenue on October 14.


The family of Mr Coventry, described as a ‘lovable rouge’, said they were devastated and heartbroken beyond belief.

“Not only have the children lost their dad and a mother and father lost their son he also leaves his brothers and sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends behind,” they said.
