Warning to drivers as roads in Bromsgrove are hit by flooding

DRIVERS are being warned about flooding on some roads in Bromsgrove.

The A448 Kidderminster Road outside Sanders Park is impassable.

The A38 by Morrisons was closed due to flash flooding but has now re-opened.

Vehicles have also been stuck in floodwater near Bromsgrove Rugby Club at Finstall




Perryfields road in Bromsgrove is flooded and impassable.

There are currently delays of up to 40 minutes on the 144 bus which operates between Worcester and Birmingham between Bromsgrove and Droitwich.


The A448 at Chaddesley Corbett is also flooded.

Longbridge Lane is flooded so motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

The northbound carriageway on the M5 between Junction 3 (Quinton) and Junction 2 was completely closed because of flooding but has now re-opened. Delays are expected until 9.30am as the traffic filters through.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the areas and to find alternative routes.
