Residents urged to help 'Get Catshill Growing' with latest event this weekend

RESIDENTS in Catshill can help make the village beautiful by getting involved in the latest community project, writes Natasha Smith.

The latest ‘get Catshill growing’ event takes place on Saturday, August 11, from 11am until 1pm at Catshill Village Hall.

Participants can join fellow seedling swots and green fingered gurus, and exchange top gardening tips, enjoy a mingle, and consider setting up a future seed and plant swap shop with like-minded people.

It follows June’s spruce-up by the Spar and a litter-pick at the village school.

Cheryl Walsh, Bromsgrove District Council’s Centres Manager, said: “This is a perfect opportunity to bring the community together and at the same time get friendly advice from avid gardeners and who knows in the future even pick up a new plant or two.

“As well as making new friends, by coming together we can improve the appearance of Catshill too.”

The event is sponsored by Singleton Nurseries.
