REPRESENTATIVES from the Bromsgrove branch of the West Brom Building Society held a coffee and cake day to raise funds for The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.

The town’s branch and others across the West Midlands, Shropshire and Mid-Wales collected £3,500 with the ‘Cake and Kindness’ events.

The Kaleidoscope Plus charity aims to promote and support positive mental health and wellbeing through a number of activities including talking therapy, floating support which sees people visited in their own homes and activity groups to help people manage their emotions.

West Brom Building Society spokesperson Jim King said everyone got into the Christmas spirit and customers gave very generously to Kaleidoscope Plus which was the society’s charity of the year.

Monica Shafaq, Kaleidoscope Plus chief executive, added: “We can’t thank staff and customers at the West Brom enough for their support in this very festive event – the donation will make a real difference.”
