Tributes paid to five-year-old Harvey who died after Frankley crash

A TRIBUTE has been paid to the five-year-old boy who was one of two people who died after the crash in Frankley on Saturday.

Harvey Bannister, aged five, was taken to hospital following the collision on Ravenhayes Road, but he died a short time later.

In a statement the family said: “We are devastated at the sudden death of our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin, Harvey.

“We were all so proud of him and he will be desperately missed both by us and his friends.”




The collision, at 11.50am on Ravenhayes Road, involved a grey Kia Ceed and a white Peugeot Expert.

The 41-year-old driver of the Peugeot also died following the crash and two others sustained serious injuries.


The passenger in the Peugeot remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the three other people in the Kia Ceed are also in hospital.

A 35-year-old woman and a 40 year-old man have injuries which are both not believed to be life threatening, a nine-week old baby was uninjured in the collision.
