BROMSGROVE siblings Bethan, 11, and Adam Lally, nine, will trek across the Malvern Ridge to raise awareness of a rare disease in memory of their friend.

Bethan’s childhood friend Jenni was just 12 when she recently passed away.

Jenni was diagnosed with Ataxia-Telangiectasia or A-T – a disease which is incurable and which affects co-ordination and the ability to carry out everyday tasks.

Those with the condition are prone to a high incidence of life-threatening diseases, particularly cancer and lung disease and many die before they reach their 20s.

The charity Action for A-T was set up to raise funds for research aimed at finding a cure.

Bethan and Adam will walk six miles across the Malvern Ridge over the Easter bank holiday weekend with their parents Clare and Steve to raise funds for the charity.
