CCTV released after taxi driver is threatened in Bromsgrove

POLICE have released CCTV pictures of two men they want to speak to in connection with an incident in which a taxi driver was threatened in Bromsgrove town centre.

It took place outside Simply Lets on Worcester Road between 11.10pm and 11.20pm on April 10, which was a Friday night.

The taxi driver was working on the night and, as he was driving towards Worcester Road, he had to brake very suddenly because two men jumped out in front of his car.

The par, who were both drunk, demanded the taxi driver take them to where they wanted to go.




One of the men banged his fist on the bonnet of the taxi, forcing the driver to get out in a bid to reason with the men.

One of the men then acted aggressively towards the taxi driver and was trying to start a fight.


He tried to hit him at one point but missed. As the pair then went towards the taxi driver and one of them was verbally aggressive with him.

The pair were both about 18 years old, around 5ft 8ins tall and had light brown hair and smartly dressed in a blue jacket.

One had a good accent, giving the impression he was well-educated or from a good family .
