SINGER Kezza Bell won this year’s Search for a Star at the Austin Sports and Social Club following a sell-out show and a very tight contest.

The standard of artists was high yet again and it was a split decision between the Kidderminster artist and Walsall duo DNA in second.

Third was Dan Peet from Tamworth.

To take the £2,000 prize, Kezza sang Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On and I’m Alive, Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Frank Sinatra’s My Way.

Runner-up DNA received £1,000, third place earned £500 and fourth scooped £250.

The remaining finalists received £100 each.

Organiser Tony Maslen said: “It was an amazing night.”
