MORE THAN 50 youngsters from St Stephen’s Play Days playgroup, the Plus 2s and Victoria’s School of Dance and Performing Arts got into the festive spirit when they had breakfast with the man in the big red suit.

The children, whose ages ranged from two months to ten, attended the special event which was organised for the whole community at St Stephen’s Church, Rednal.

They all dressed up in Christmassy outfits and sat down to eat before singing songs outside the church in anticipation of Santa’s arrival.

After speaking to Father Christmas, they all received presents in his grotto and sang songs with Santa, accompanied by musical instruments.

They also got to make Christmas cards and photo frames while they waited for their turn to see Santa.

Play Days leader Julie Kite-Lightfoot said: “It was a lovely morning and we had brilliant feedback from the parents/carers and children.”
