SCOTT Adey-Linforth wants his side to find ‘a level of consistency’ after Bromsgrove Sporting battled to a home win against in-form Leiston.
Goals from James Sanderson and Luke Benbow saw Sporting stretch their unbeaten run at home to four matches at the Victoria Ground.
The victory came after Sporting lost three successive games without scoring in all competitions and Adey-Linforth now wants his side to show more consistency in their results.
Adey-Linforth said: “It’s a great win. We gave everything. We started really well and got ahead.
“It was a disappointing start to the second half to concede but we stayed in it and gone and won it at the end.
“We knew we had it in the locker. The last few games we haven’t been at it, not scoring a goal for three games.
“The difficult thing about this league is you’ve got to find a level of consistency.
“We showed character to bounce back with a really good win.”
Sporting broke the deadlock on 15 minutes when the ball sat up nicely for Sanderson who saw his volley from 12-yards out deflect past Billy Johnson from Bradley Stretton’s pass.
However, the visitors drew level three minutes after the break as Eddie Jackson drilled a low effort into the left side of the goal from just inside the penalty area.
The Rouslers reclaimed the lead on 85 minutes when Adam Harrison launched a long kick up the pitch which Leiston failed to deal with as Benbow looped a header over Johnson.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Royston Town on Saturday, November 8 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
