Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination round-up

THE TERRY CUP final has been decided after CBH Fasteners beat OKH Sporting Dynamo 2-1 and Austin Ex Apprentices beat Black Horse 1-0.

Goals from Callum Davies and namesake Nathan ensured CBH booked their place in the final while the ever-present Andy Nicol netted Austin’s only goal of the game to edge past Black Horse.

The final will be played on Thursday, May 12 at Studley Football Club (7pm KO).

In Subsidiary Cup Group One, South Redditch moved to the top of the table following their 3-1 victory over Royal Oak Alcester.




In Group Two, there was a seven-goal thriller Greenlands, Rubery Bridge claimed a 4-3 victory over Lodge Park thanks to a hat-trick from Klarke Bird and single from Dan Douse.

Tobias Teague (2) and Terry Nolan got on the scoresheet for Park.


In Group Three, Millfield Rovers continued on with their winning ways with a comprehensive 6-1 victory over Rubery Legends courtesy of a Bren Bartlett double and one apiece from Shane Smith, Russell Morgan, Dave Roussell and Neil Dews.

David Martin got Legends’ consolation.

Redditch Cross and VKL United played out the first 0-0 draw of the season in Division One of the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination.

Studley Railway romped to a 9-1 victory over AFC Lions with the help of two own-goals and goals from Roland Rignall, Habib Buaben, Chris Hands, Marc Jovanovic, Jamie Walsh and Stewart Roland.

Tommy Williams netted Lions’ only goal of the game.

The other game in the division saw New Woodland Cottage claim a 4-1 victory over Redditch Town.

Bradley Hawtin, Adam Crombie, Stuart Price and Lorcan Davenport netted for Cottage; Chris Adams for Town.
