TWO YOUTHS have been arrested on suspicion of theft after a stolen car was crashed near Longbridge.

Four people were seen running off from the silver Nissan Micra which had a smashed windscreen and a crease in its boot after the collision in Fountain Close on Wednesday evening (April 30).

Two 17-year-olds, one from Kings Norton and one from Northfield, were arrested by West Midlands Police and handed over to West Mercia Police before they were released on bail until June 10.

The vehicle, which belonged to the owner of the Balti Hut, was stolen with its keys from New Road in Rubery some time between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday (April 26). It is not known whether the owner dropped the keys or whether they were taken from his restaurant.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
