YOUNG people aged between 13 and 19 from across Bromsgrove are being sought to be part of a new film-making project.
Artist and youth worker Daniel Newell is co-ordinating the piece which will be about being young in Bromsgrove in 2014.
Daniel is looking for people to be editors, camera operators, sound operators and location scouts.
Participants do not need to be a member of any club or have any experience, it is open to everyone and those who do take part will get to learn new skills.
An open evening for anyone wanting to find out more is being held at the Health Hub in Perryfields Road, Sidemoor, between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday (May 6).
Those involved will need to be able to get to the Health Hub on a regular basis.
Daniel said: “You might just find you have a taste for making films, and have some fun too.
“If you think you might like to get involved, please come along to the open evening for more information and have a chat to us.
“We would love to hear from you.”
The project has been commissioned through Worcestershire County Council’s Positive Activities Fund by Bromsgrove District Council working in partnership with social enterprise EPIC (Empowering People in Communities).
Bromsgrove District Council’s head of leisure and cultural services John Godwin said: “This is an opportunity for a film to be made about young people, by young people – and to do it positively in a supportive learning environment.
“We are looking forward to screening the film at the Health Hub later in the year.”
