A CHARITY day to raise funds to help children with life-threatening liver disease is being held at a Bromsgrove cafe.

Lorita’s Bakehouse, on the High Street, is holding the Yellow Friday from 9am to 5pm today in aid of the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF).

It has been organised by Lisa Armstrong who works for the charity but is currently on maternity leave.

She said: “I have seen first hand the amazing work done supporting families who are given a devastating diagnosis that their child has a liver disease.

“Whilst I am off work, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to get involved with Big Yellow Friday.”

Bakehouse owner Lorita Cornish added Lisa approached her with the idea and she was happy to help.

“CLDF seems like a great charity and we’re really looking forward to our yellow themed fun day.”

There will be yellow themed cakes on sale and a raffle in aid of the charity.

For more information on the event, call Lisa Armstrong on 07949 627145.
