WORK will be carried out overnight this Sunday (December 13) to redo the road surface at The Strand in Bromsgrove.
The Standard was contacted by motorists who said there was red and black tarmac which had been laid there that made the road bumpy and difficult to drive on.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of the issues surrounding the quality of tarmac used in the works on The Strand.
“Our contractors received a batch of material that did not meet the quality standards required and The Strand will therefore be closed overnight from Sunday for this to be replaced.”
