Villa programmes stolen in Belbroughton burglary

Bromsgrove Editorial 17th Mar, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

A SUBSTANTIAL amount of Aston Villa Football Club memorabilia from the last five decades has been stolen during a burglary in Belbroughton.

They included match programmes from the 1950s and 60s and one from the 1982 European Cup Final between Villa and Bayern Munich. That programme is of particularly high value as it has been signed by all members of the Aston Villa winning team.

The break-in happened in Hockley Brook Lane between 4pm on March 7 and 3pm on March 9.

After forcing a window open at the back of the property to get in, the raider or raiders stole the collection which had been built up over a number of years.

Anyone with any information about the incident should call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
